I’ll break the spell for you.
I’ll spell it out.
You’ve got it wrong my friend.
You’ve got it all backwards.
“Be Holy as He is Holy” doesn’t mean “You better behave, or else…”
“Be Holy” is an invitation.
You’re welcome into the Holiness of God, to operate in His realm, to make yourself at home in who He is.
“He’s Holy” means “He’s wholly yours and He wants you to be wholly His”.
Set apart.
You can’t mess up His Holiness.
That’s who He is.
He’s Holy in all His ways.
His Holiness is contagious.
He makes all things Holy. If you let Him.
He makes all things whole.
That’s what He does.
Because that’s who He is.
Healing flows from Him.
Because He’s Holy.
Completely whole.
Be wholly His, as He is wholly yours.
He gave himself for you till the last drop of blood.
Holy is good.
Holy is fun even.
Although “fun” might sound superficial.
It’s more than fun.
It’s a deep, euphoric joy from the heavenly realm that will lift you up and strengthen you and invade your space here and now.
“Be Holy” doesn’t mean that you’re straightening yourself out, to be in His presence.
Quite the opposite.
Let go. Relax.
He’ll straighten you out.
Let Him do the work.
Don’t let His holiness stop you from entering into His presence.
Quite the opposite.
Let His Holiness draw you in.
Holiness is where you belong.
You just don’t know it. Yet.
You are Holy.
Because He made you in His image.
Holiness is the best thing that can happen to you.
Holiness is fulfillment of your destiny,
of who you were created to be.
Holiness is power.
Holiness is strength.
Holiness is authority.
Holiness is creativity.
Holiness is rich, flavorful, colorful, swelling with life, juice and sap, dripping with oil and heavy, sweet, intoxicating scents and emotions.
Don’t let this world fool you to believe that holy is boring and lifeless, colorless, spineless, rule following.
Quite the opposite.
Being holy is being fully alive, thriving, growing, throbbing with life, moving, dancing, flowing with His movement.
